In the hustle and bustle of everyday life, it's easy to get caught up in the whirlwind of expectations, responsibilities, and challenges. We often find ourselves tirelessly striving for perfection, seeking validation from others, and constantly critiquing our every move. But amidst this chaos, there's a gentle reminder that whispers to us from within: "Give yourself some credit for doing a great job at this whole living thing."
Life is a journey filled with ups and downs, twists and turns, joys and sorrows. It's a rollercoaster ride that we're all strapped into, navigating through the highs and lows, learning and growing with each passing moment. Yet, in the midst of this journey, we often forget to acknowledge our own resilience, strength, and achievements.
When I pull this card, I say “Thank you! Thank you for reminding me that I’m doing ok.” It's a profound acknowledgment of the effort we put into simply being alive, breathing, and experiencing the world around us. It's about recognizing that despite the challenges we face, we're still here, still standing, still moving forward.
We live in a society that often measures success by external standards – wealth, status, achievements. But true fulfillment comes from within, from recognizing and appreciating the journey we've embarked upon, regardless of where it leads us.
Our angel guides, or whatever higher power you believe in, often send us subtle reminders to be kinder to ourselves, to give ourselves the credit we deserve. It's not often we hear this from others, so it is nice for our angel guides to chime in now and then, nudging us gently towards self-compassion and self-appreciation.
So, how can we give ourselves the credit we deserve?
First and foremost, it's about cultivating a mindset of gratitude. Gratitude for the small victories, the moments of joy, the lessons learned from failures. It's about recognizing that every experience, whether positive or negative, contributes to our growth and evolution as individuals.
Take a moment each day to reflect on your journey – the challenges you've overcome, the obstacles you've faced, the progress you've made. Celebrate your resilience, your courage, your perseverance. Give yourself a pat on the back for simply showing up, for refusing to give up, for embracing the adventure of life with open arms.
Secondly, practice self-compassion. Be gentle with yourself, especially during times of struggle or uncertainty. Understand that it's okay to make mistakes, to stumble and fall, to feel lost and confused. Treat yourself with the same kindness and understanding that you would offer to a dear friend in need.
Instead of dwelling on your shortcomings or perceived failures, focus on your strengths, your talents, your unique gifts. Embrace your imperfections as part of what makes you beautifully human. Remember that you are worthy of love, acceptance, and forgiveness – from others, but most importantly, from yourself.

Prioritize rest and relaxation, listen to your body's needs, and honor your boundaries.
Remember that self-care isn't selfish – it's essential for maintaining your well-being and vitality. By prioritizing your own needs, you're better equipped to show up fully for yourself and for others, to navigate life's challenges with grace and resilience.
